Edcouch-Elsa ISD Boosts Digital Learning with New iPads for Elementary School Libraries

Edcouch, Texas – Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District (EEISD) is thrilled to announce that it has been selected to receive 40 Apple iPads, which will be distributed across the district's elementary school libraries as part of a new initiative spearheaded by Region One Education Service Center Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC). This exciting program aims to enhance digital literacy skills among students and equip them with the tools necessary to succeed in a digital learning environment.

Each of Edcouch-Elsa ISD's four elementary schools will receive ten iPads, along with essential accessories such as Apple EarPods, OtterBox Defender Series protective cases, and OtterBox Alpha screen protectors. The package will ensure that our elementary students have access to modern technology in a safe and secure setting.

“This initiative represents a significant step forward in providing our students with the resources they need to thrive in a technology-driven world,”  said Dr. Jesse Fidelio Garza, Public Relations Administrator for Edcouch-Elsa ISD. “We are thankful to Mrs. Vilia Garcia, Region One Library Services and Instructional Resources Coordinator and to TSLAC for recognizing our district and supporting our commitment to enhancing digital literacy and learning opportunities for all students. One of our goals this academic year was to help enhance the school library experience for each child and this is a wonderful way to start.”
