Edcouch, TX – February 6, 2025 – Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District (EEISD) is pleased to announce the successful completion of fencing and automated gates at Jorge R. Gutierrez Early Childhood and Ruben C. Rodriguez Elementary. Installations are still being worked on at all other schools and once completed, parents/guardians will be notified.
These upgrades are part of the district’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
The newly implemented system enhances security protocols by streamlining campus access and exit procedures. While visitor policies remain unchanged, all parents and visitors are required to be buzzed in at the entrance. This controlled access will help maintain the safety and security of the school grounds during school hours.
The district appreciates the cooperation of parents, guardians, and community members as it continuously works to enhance security measures for the benefit of all stakeholders.
