Mrs. Arispe’s 5th grade class worked on summarizing text using the Lead4ward Strategy “Summary Salad.” Student pairs collaborated to write a summary of a text, then joined another pair of students, “mixed” their summary to create their best summary. Their teacher especially liked the discussion regarding the text that occurred during this activity.
